Dishing it up/ with Sharon Insul

Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table ®

There just might be something to the old expression .   .   . the grass is greener on the other side.

This is for my friends that are knee deep in snow. Since not everyone is lucky enough to gather flowers, and fresh veggies from the garden, or drop by a local fresh goods market, I have elected myself the sunshine ambassador. The above photo is for your visual enjoyment, and a fantastic way to create a centerpiece for your dining pleasure. Tuck the flower stems into very wet paper towels, then wrap in foil. Flowers can then be re-purposed into vases for a few days to come.

Now hold on a second! I get that some of you revel in the different seasons, such as blustering bone chilling winds, precarious trips over black ice roads, pushing through knee deep snow drifts, and in some instances wading through slush. I get the coming in from the cold, cozying by the fireplace with a brandy, your honey of choice, and perhaps a book .    .    . really I do .   .  . been there, done that, and .   .   .  very happily I might add! But .   .   . and there is a but .   .   . there is always a but .    .    . sometimes the grass is greener on the other side.

Sunshine you said? I can give you sunshine .   .   . mm hmm .   .   . Take a trip through the photo below. Yes, you too can have instant sunshine spread across your dinner table! Oh please, it’s a no brainer .  .   . honest! Take a light/bright table cloth, and throw it across your table. Excellent!!! Do you see .   .  . it? What do you mean, what is it? Step away from the table, and fill your visual senses with bright, shining, dazzling sunshine! Now all you have to do is dig out the lightest, brightest colored dishes that you stashed away for the winter, and bring them into the sunshine! Can’t come up with a rose? No problem. Bright colored napkins, that are not necessarily matching, laid to rest with a sprig of parsley, a couple of leaves, or a bright shiny yellow lemon! Go ahead and let the sunshine in!
