Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table ®
NO No nooooo it can’t be !!! It is imposssssible . . . There has to be a mistake! . . . Not only am I not ready . . . I promise you I will not go quietly!
Labor Day . . . Hmpf . . . I know, I know it’s time for the flip of the calendar page and then . . . what? Someone, somewhere flips a switch??? And everything magically changes? I’ll tell you what . . . I’m prepared to negotiate. Look at the cocktail napkin in the photo below . . . mm hmmm . . . Do you see what it says? “GO OUT THERE, AND DO AMAZING THINGS!” Sooo that’s where I’m headed . . . out there! My ‘out there’ is right outside my door. First will come trays, each filled with different goodies placed around the patio, which will keep the flow away from the bar, while getting people chit-chatting with old and new acquaintances. Did I mention stacks of THE cocktail napkins? Good . . . because I want everyone to think of Labor Day as the day to “GO OUT THERE AND DO SOMETHING AMAZING”, and not focus on summer’s end.

What was that? Oh, you all want to know where I am going with this event. Fair enough. An example to the seasons changeover can be seen in the photo below. My way of yielding to the coming of Fall will be in the choice of colors and decoration. Each table will be decked out with an old quilt, pre-set with napkins, utensils, and different centerpieces filled with green cuttings, and of course candles . . . lots and lots of candles. Ahhh . . . the food. One very long buffet table . . . because it gives me yet another place to tablescape . . . and celebrate the great outdoors! Safe Labor Day to all!

My book of Tableofferings™ is almost ready… Will keep you posted!
