Some of you may say, everything is coming up roses .   .   . I on the other hand say .   .  . nah ah!

How can I make such a definitive statement, you ask? Because, Mother Nature has graciously endowed us with a plethora of floral choices, of which roses are just a teensy-weeny, itsy-bitsy  part of the whole. Whoa people! Easy peasy .   .   . please don’t shoot the messenger .   .   . I  LOVE roses .   .   . really I do. But since I am celebrating the coming of Spring,  I was drawn to the sunburst yellow of the Chrysanthemum’s, and happily married them with clusters of deep rich colored Statice. And then, as you can see in the photo above, I added red hibiscus plucked right off my tree, and set them free to gently float around yet another one of Mother Natures successful creations, the white Gerbera. Wait, people .   .   . patience .   .   . not done yet !

I added t-lights, votives, and tapers (seen below) in springlike tones, giving this table flashes of sparkling, twinkling flames*, creating the illusion of shooting stars on a clear summers eve. For my linens, I used a mix of smaller table toppers that crisscrossed one another in a mix of garden colors. Green glass plates, set with a combination of red, yellow, and eggplant napkins complete this Spring gathering.

*Wicks should be cut down to between 1/4-3/8″ of an inch, and placed out of a draft.
