Dishing it up/ with Sharon Insul

Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table ®

You can’t have your cake and eat it too! .   .   . or .   .   . can you???  Yes, yes  .   .   . I am fully aware of the more interesting, and mischievous meaning of my opening sentence!  But for now I ask that you all cut me some slack! Let’s take the spotlight away from the phrase that implies a relationship of shenanigans and highlight a more fun loving event .   .   . Valentine’s Day .   .   . oh please .   .   . sure I can .   .   . let’s call it writers license.

Now getting down to the ‘yes I can’ of having my cake and eating it too. Of course I won’t leave you wondering. Each day is wisely divided into segments of morning, noon, and night, which gives me sooooo much room to create, create, create .   .   . and create I will. So I have created a Valentine’s Day breakfast for friends, and their kiddies. By having a fun celebratory breakfast, I have selfishly hoarded the evening for me and mybe mine’ .   .   . get it!

This will be a fun no fuss, no muss, easy peasy event. By laying a large griddle over my open Bar-B-Cue grill, all my guests will be able to indulge in chocolate chip, blueberry, and/or banana pancakes, with a side of maple cured bacon. For the non-pancake lover such as myself, homemade breakfast burritos filled with chicken, eggs, avocado, and fresh salsa will be on hand. A buffet table along side the grill will hold other nibbling goodies including a red velvet heart cake and beverages. Tables to eat at will have utensils, salt and pepper, and sweetener for coffee or tea. A separate serving station for Mimosas will be real close by.

The table above (click on it) is a ‘ mock up’ of my actual Valentine’s Breakfast, which is still a week away. The fucsia down throw, found in a small linen shoppe in Paris will work to cover my table, holding welcoming angels, along with an artist’s rendition of a sculpted metal heart with arrow. Come next Saturday, it will also hold a ginormous bowl of chocolate kisses, and decorated cupcakes for the kiddies in all of us. To the right of the table are hearts leading to my door.

Everyone goes home with a goodie bag, that I have filled with toys for the kids and separate goodie bags filled with toys for the grown ups .   .   . of course I hear you .   .   . shhh .   .   . but did you hear me? .   .   .     Ah ah .   .   . sorry .   .   . no can do .   .   .  grown up toy goodie bag contents are not available for listing!!!

Hello people .   .   .  remember I’m here to show you all how to think, create, and imagine out-of-the-box. For more Valentine’s Day ideas http://wp.me/p3E2rZ-sy , http://wp.me/p3E2rZ-u2 , and http://wp.me/p3E2rZ-ut.  Sooooo people .   .   . go forth and imagine!!!
