Dishing it up/ with Sharon Insul

A few times a year I have what I named .   .   . a ‘DO DROP-IN’ evening.   .   . As seen in the  above photo .   .   . my 8 foot table is brimming with tons of goodies, from the tried and true, to the “wow where did this come from” … (a quote from one of my invited ‘do drop- ins’).

What sets a ‘do drop-in’ apart from a set invitation?  .   .   .  it’s simple .   .   . make a list of people… designate a beginning time that ‘do drop-ins ‘can be there .   .   .  after that .   .   . it’s up to them. As people come and go, the mix of people and conversation, is much like my selection of food .   .   . some tried and true… and some… wow... new, fascinating, and enlightening. ( I must add… that most guest don’t leave so fast… in fact… my ‘do drop-ins’ have gone on for many hours ).

NO PRESSURE .    .   . JUST PLEASURE .   .   .

I  put stacks of salad size plates and eating utensils tucked into different areas of the buffet .   .   . WHY??? .   .   . Because… my table has NO beginning and NO end. Pick and choose from appetizers, main dishes and ‘THE SWEET SPOTS’, as much, and in what order you desire. All you have to do is replenish… or, for extra fun… put something that hasn’t been sampled yet. You know.   .   . a unique and tasty morsel of cheese, desert etc..

Remember.   .   . Try something new .   .   .  STEP OUT OF THE BOX .   .   .

Now for the bling* .   .   . OH YES… there MUST be some bling .   .   . that’s MY icing on the cake !!!!!!!!

* Strings of LED lights come from Restoration Hardware and run on batteries… Please use candles responsibly…
