Dishing it up / with Sharon Insul

Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table ®

Positively not! I can not possibly persuade, push, or cajole any of you into acknowledging the big heart on your calendar. Why? Because I am here and you are collectively wherever your ‘here’ happens to be. Giggling. Wait, let me catch my breath. Tons of laughter tends to take my breath away. Phew. What I am attempting to say is that .   .   . this is a gentle reminder to all of you wannabes, or self-proclaimed romantics, that Tuesday, February 14th is Valentine’s Day!

The wonderful metal hand-forged heart and arrow pictured below, can be seen most days sitting in my garden adding that little extra artistic pop. However, sometimes my little gems, tucked here and there are ‘calledin’ to do extra-duty.

Now that you have been reminded .   .   . here are a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing. An intimate dinner for two can be anything your little heart desires, while keeping in mind what your other little heart may desire! Think of a charcuterie board brimming with mouth watering goodies, a bubbling cheese fondue, or an Asian Hot-pot. What’s good about all of my subtle suggestions is none have to be slaved over in the kitchen. Of course the charcuterie is an easy from- market-to-board slam-dunk. Now don’t get rattled, the next suggestion is really, rrrrreeeeally easy .   .   . pinkie swear.

Some say .   .   . cheese fondue requires a fondue-pot, a blend of cheeses, bread cubes, and for the bottomless-pit always-ravenous person in your life, tons of beef cubes,  or fruit, and a couple of long handled forks. No, no don’t be silly, I am not suggesting  that you run out and buy a fondue-pot or a hot-pot thingamajig! What no fondue, or hotpot, then press your Crock-Pot into service, wrapped with an interesting textile. If you don’t have long handled forks, no worries I’ve got you covered. Bamboo skewers are super inexpensive, and available everywhere. No? Not your scene? How about bamboo/or wooden chopsticks? Wait don’t forget the candles, and music. Ahhh .   .   .   see how very easy this is.    Happy Valentine’s Day !!!
