Dishing it up / with Sharon Insul

Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table ®

The calendar says it’s fall .   .   .  but the weather here in sunny California says .   .   .  nope, not yet!

Now I have no control over the weather outside, however .   .   . I do have control over the inside!!! YAY! People, people, people, before you work yourselves into a tizzy, aka in the dictionary, as a state of nervous excitement or agitation, allow me to continue. Now as I was saying .   .   . I do have control over what happens inside my little palace, therefore I get to create the atmosphere, and the temperature. Behold, my happy tablescapers and feast your eyes on one of many more fall table settings to come.

The patterned table cloth above is one of my favorites for fall. Take a second to zoom on in to see a theme that is perfect for this upcoming season.  Bunches of grapes artistically strewn about this lush landscape of colors also captures rich shades of melons, gourds, and wheat still green from the field. To add depth and richness to my setting, I commandeered one of my beautiful vintage boxes to play host to a variety of dried corn, faux wheat, pears and multicolored leaves, all tucked in and around tons of raffia that spills onto the table. To give  this table a three dimensional effect .   .   . small whole melons, and nuts are tucked here, there, and yes .   .   . everywhere.

I love, love, love midnight blue, which brings me to another one of my ‘favs’ .   .   . ‘Moderne’ blue dinner plates seen below .   .   . yummmmmy .   .   . then layered with a gorgeous leaf shaped plate to be used for cook’s choice. Next came a blue/white patterned soup bowl topped off with a stunning pale blue ‘moderne’ pedestal, to be filled with .   .   . a unique cerviche to be unveiled next week. Vibrant orange bread and butter plates with my ‘been doing double napkins for a gazillion years’ look in mellow orange, and the second napkin midnight blue.
