FORTUNE and PERSONALITY
The year of the OX

Loyal, honest, responsible, hard-working , logical, trustworthy. And the negatives? Hmmm . . . I say we stick with the positives!!!! Why? Because I personally think we all have had enough negatives for the time being. Having said that, I have appointed myself ambassador of joy, happiness, and above all else calm!
Who doesn’t love a table for two in front of the fireplace??? White pillows, pillows and more pillows makes this setting for two the perfect place to ring in the Chinese New Year. Using my everyday dishes layered with green (good luck color) vintage glass plates perfect for appetizers. Napkins of spun shimmering silver linen, mixed with red here there and everywhere prosperity. For extra sparkle I added a heavily encrusted beaded tassel.

As for the food whole chicken, whole fish, dumplings to look like gold or silver pieces representing being prosperous. braised shitaki mushrooms, don’t forget tangerines and oranges, longevity noodles representing one long strand , jujube , a common ingredient in asian food as well a red being seen throughout representing prosperity and happiness, spring rolls symbolizing wealth as in “a ton of gold” likened to gold bars. Yes, yes I understand that there will only be two! Portions will be scaled down to a minor feeding fest.
