It’s not often that ‘Supreme Witch Grizelda’ (seen below far left) drops-in on one of my soirées. I’m never quite sure if she is merely making an appearance to put her stamp on the spookiest day of the year or letting all of the other witches know just who reigns supreme! Seen far right is her arch enemy ‘Witch Matilda’ just-in from her very long flight from Czechoslovakia taking a moment to peruse my tablescape.  Some of their younger surly-witch-sisters-of-flight are discreetly placed here, there, and everywhere while taking care not to upstage the two supreme dulling witches.

What could be better than iced champagne flutes filled with its namesake adding to that Halloween experience.

Yes, yes  of course accompanied with a mélange of cheese, pâté, and an overflowing tray of charcuterie. Now to make all this work ‘just right’ .   .   . I will add rustic olive and pumpernickle bread plus an assortment of fresh herb flavored flat breads. Tasty morsels of assorted mustard, smoked fig jam if available, artichoke spread and tampenade for all of the olive lovers. This grown-up Halloween bash is not my first ‘spook-fest’.
