Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table ®
It’s not always about an expensive ‘brought-back-bauble’ from your latest excursions out in the world beyond your doorstep.

For me? Oh, that’s easy. It’s what catches my eye. It’s a ‘thing’. . . a photo snapped at just the right moment, maybe scraps of textile from another time rescued/saved and/or coveted by a lover of fabric like myself that is willing to part with a few unique pieces. On one such trip I happened onto a Costa Rican potter in the middle of the jungle, living and working in a thatched hut with one lonely light bulb throwing pots while his pregnant wife holding another baby looked on. Yes, I actually bought two fantastic pots the size of overgrown watermelons (pictured above) and managed to hand carry them on the flight home.

A ‘must-have eye-catching booty of bottles’, (seen above) from my latest sojourn to Spain. YUP! You read it correctly. Bottles. Buttttt. Yes I know. I always seem to have a but. What can I say? These puppies were not just water bottles. No siree! These bottles were made of a vibrant cobalt blue glass. This particular brilliant cobalt blue is found mainly in Spain and parts of Morocco (not in the USA). Wowzer!!! Earth friendly, gorgeous,non-plastic! How will I use them? Do you really have enough time to listen to my list? Hang on a second. Phew! I just can’t stop doing my happy dance! No. I don’t always do it upon returning from one of my sojourns. I only do this ritual dance of extreme excitement when I happen to be lucky enough to find a ‘not-the-run-of-the-mill’ goodie! Yahooo!
