Ooooooo .   .   . it’s bone-chillingly-coooold outside, but that won’t stop me .   .   . no siree! The way I see it .   .   . spring is right around the corner. In fact, truth be known I can smell the crisp clean air mingling with the budding fragrances of things yet to come. Someone just whispered, well actually it was a bit more than a whisper, but a touch less than a shout .   .   . how about less talk and more show. I couldn’t agree more. So without further ado .   .   . have a peek at one of my upcoming spring tablescapes  below.

Peter rabbit does double duty by holding court as well as a candle to light the way toward spring. A table setting accented with flowers celebrates the much anticipated happy season. Turquoise earthenware bowls sit waiting to hold soup, while stemware of tinted lime for wine, keep company with short cut crystal glasses for water.

As you all know .   .   . my tablescapes are a potpourri of mix, match, and touches of vintage thrown in for conversation. The photo below gives you a birds-eye view of   pink tinted stemware with a blush-pink rose for accent. Ahhh .   .   . where’s the vintage you ask? The hand painted vintage tea cup sits on a bread and butter plate, just waiting for some yummy tapenade or pâté. Corral and white gerbers try to share center stage with the many candles placed here, there, and everywhere, but it really is hard to compete with the dance of the flames. Next time you sit at a table filled with candles  .   .   . see if you can resist the mesmerizing twist, turn, twinkle, and sparkle of the flames as they take flight.
