Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table ®
There has to be some mistake. September 3rd is Labor Day. OMG!!! Already? Nah. I’m not done doing summer. Are you? I wish to formally protest my displeasure. I understand that my discord as to calendar events holds no water, as ‘they say’, however, as I have already mentioned . . . I am not, I repeat, not done with summer. Uh-uh. The centerpiece pictured below, is one of a garden dinner party further emphasizing my continuing romance with summer. This clam shaped plastic bowl (found for pennies at a big box discount store) is filled with a mix of shells, coral, crystals, and pearls, pearls, pearls.

Photo below gives you a birds eye view of the ‘almost’ finished table. I liken my tablescapes to creating a painting. This canvas began with a beautiful off-white hand crocheted cloth for visual interest, without upstaging the various pops of colors and unique shape of these unconventional free-formed dinner plates. Orange-rimmed hand painted first course plates rest on top of floral motif napkins. Champagne flutes sit nestled next to lightly tinted green water glasses, and bamboo-looking cutlery. When the sun begins to set and the heat abates, candles will be added to take this setting from ‘almost’ to voila!
