Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table ®
Can you hear it? Oh sorry . . . my bad. I’m talking about the sound of the ocean. Shhh. Listen again. No? Still nothing? O k, I understand. Let me help you with this. No, no this isn’t going to be work! First you get to decide whether the sound of ‘your’ ocean is angry or gentle. Don’t you just love choices? Will it be the crashing of symbols and kettledrums . . . or . . . the gentle rippling, and swaying of ‘your’ ocean caught in the midst of its nightly evening dance? Time to close your eyes and imagine the very distinctive sound of ‘your’ ocean. No hurry . . . I’ll wait. Have a look below when your ready.

Seen above is one of my interpretations of an ‘off-shore’ tablescape. This table top is filled with glistening glass hurricanes, and vases holding sparkling white sand, mixed with decades of collected sea shells gathered along the waters edge. I added the sand colored candle stand filled with colbalt-blue votive holders for that vibrant punch of color. To re-create the effect of moonlight on the waters edge, candles of different heights and sizes have been buried in the sand casting a mesmerizing shimmer across this tablescape. Now add a CD that combines both the sounds of the ocean and light background music.
Below is the tablescape just before the overhead lights were lowered and the guests were ready to enjoy the light show and dinner.

Thanks Kay! Hope you are surviving in this heat wave.🙏
Your tabletop is gorgeous!! I’m in San Antonio, so there are lots of votive stands and candles, many dating back before the Alamo, but I’ve never seen one like your cobalt blue stand. Really pretty! Brenda
