Dishing it up / with Sharon Insul

Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table ®

‘The best way to a mans heart is through his stomach’.

Whether you call him father, dad, papa, or pops just make sure you call him to the table. The old adage, has been said, and joked about over decades that .   .   . ‘the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach’. Now I’m not saying that this applies to every man but .   .   .  I haven’t met one yet that it doesn’t.

As we know, most dads are a bit simpler when it comes to celebrating their special day as opposed to us moms. Most dads are happy with the toss of the football, or a game on the basketball court highlighted with copious amounts of their favorite foods. I kid you not! It’s true! I want you all to know that I have conducted an in-depth verbal survey and this is my conclusion. Sooo .   .   .  since I believe in not looking a gift horse in the mouth, I say easy-peasy is the road to take. What simpler way to enjoy Father’s Day than the nearest park, a bunch of blankets, pillows, a football, basketball, and of course a Frisbee. Add wooden trays filled with loaves of bread, cold cuts, cheese, condiments and tons of side dishes. No sweating over a hot grill, while others get to play. Now I call this a fun, dad-gets-to-really-rest Father’s Day. Sometimes it’s nice not to have to work for your supper!!!
