Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table®
Celebrate! Celebrate! It’s time to celebrate! It’s time to come together! Just some of the words sung by Kool and The Gang back in the 80’s. Simple words that speak volumes.
There are sooo many reasons and ways to celebrate in life, and you don’t need a lavish over the top table setting to do it. But . . . what you do need is a little bit of tongue-in-cheek ingenuity! One of the top celebratory contenders is . . . surviving rush hour traffic to and from work. Now, I know that you are thinking that rush hour is what it is, therefore one must bite the bullet, so to speak, and get on with it . . . right? Wrong! No I can not clear the clogged highways and bi-ways . . . but, I can give you a simple, and fun, welcome home to the weary and well stressed traveler. Sooo without further chit-chat let’s get to it! It’s what’s called a ‘traveler’s tray’. No? Never heard of it? Hmmm . . . I guess that’s because it’s my name for the photo below.

Featured above is one of my ‘be good to myself/yourself/ourselves, and/or the weary traveler’s hits. This is such an easy-peasy . . . DIY-er . . . happy to-be home dinner alternative, that can be done before leaving the house in the morning/or the night before. The best part of this, is that it takes mere seconds to create for one or more people. Soup, salad, and a huge chaser of tranquility which requires a minimal amount of assembly. Use the triple washed salad fixings, ready made store bought or wisely stocked-up homemade frozen soup (popped into the micro ), a glass of vino, beer, or??? It’s not what you put on the tray as much as the sense of feeling a moment of life being free and easy. Sooo grab your tray and put your feet up on the . . . wherever it makes you happy! Next, take a deep breath and repeat after me . . . it’s time to celebrate!
Now if you really love yourself, and others . . . have just dodged the rush hour bullet, and created a simple welcome home ambiance . . . thennnn . . . the only thing left is . . . it’s time to celebrate with the ultimate lip smacking, tummy-yummy reward (as seen below) . . . a Klondike bar!
