Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table ®
The US Bank Stadium in Minnesota pictured below is ready and eagerly awaiting Super Bowl Sunday, February 4th. Minneapolis weather for this time of year, if lucky, can hover in the teens and top off in the mid 30’s, and that’s best case scenario! Brrrrrrrr. Now I know that many of my readers live with inclement conditions this time of year, and those that have super bowl tickets in their hot little hands won’t let a little cold weather squelch their attendance and/or enthusiasm. Now for those of you who will happily watch this game in the comfort of your own abode, I offer up a couple of suggestions for creating one of the most important parts of Super Bowl Sunday . . . ‘THE GRUB’.

Who says you can’t have a tailgate party inside your home? Great! Then I guess it’s safe to say that we are all working off the same playbook. Relax people this one is easy as pie, and you don’t even have to say abracadabra . . . well o k . . . sooo maybe a little sprinkling of fairy dust couldn’t hurt. Stack up lots of quilts, comforters, throws, and lots, and lots of pillows to create a warm, cozy, and nurturing viewing section. Now that your mini-stadium is all warm and fuzzy it’s time to bring out the chow. Crockpots . . . yes plural, that’s where borrowing from friends come in. Crockpots for holding everything from hot soup, chili, and one for nachos. Yup . . . that all time favorite . . . nachos . . . multi-layered with chicken, cheese, jalapenos and whatever else you come up with. Once served, sit back, and let the game begin!!!
