Rest! Who can rest? Not me. Yes, yes, I understand that you’ve just finished celebrating at least one of the many holidays that show up every December, and     are pretty much celebrated out, but  .   .   . as it has been said many, many times .   .   . life must gone on. Sooo .   .   . I have appointed myself as your emissary bringing you  fun filled calendar events for the months of January and February. Some of them wacky, funny, and self indulgent, while others are informative or just plain fun.

January 31st is “Inspire Your Heart With Art Day”. You have got to ‘love it‘! Yup .  .  . you read it correctly.  Pllleeeease .   .   . indulge me for a few seconds. Art can and does have a distinct effect on your heart. Among the many feelings art can evoke is romance and love. Think of using a painting, a drawing, or go for the ultimate form of art .   .   . imagination. Go ahead and set the mood for a ‘little bit’ of romance. You never know where a ‘little bit’ will lead.

Now, of course, this leads me to February. Everyone hang on because this is a busy month. February 3rd celebrates ‘Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day.’ Yahoo .   .   . wowzer .   .   . this date gets a big red heart on my calendar .   .   . I kid you not! Now if ice cream is not your thing, although it is difficult to imagine, be patient and wait for the next day. February 4th brings yummy ‘Stuffed Mushroom Day’. Of course the 11th of February brings a change of pace with, ‘White T-Shirt Day’. What can I say? The 13th begins Mardi Gras Celebration, followed by Valentine’s Day on the 14th.  Come the 16th we all get to show off our chopstick skills on delicious Chinese food while celebrating The Year of The Dog. More next time .   .   .
