Before I leave this year’s Thanksgiving table to a memory, I want to point out the simplicity of three votives resting on an antique Obi that I was lucky enough to find in a vintage store in Japan. Not only does it stretch the full length of my dining table, it also cascades to within inches of the floor on both table ends and .   .   .

O k agreed .   .   .  I’m just not quite ready to let this table setting go to the annals, but I promise to move on very shortly. Oh please .   .   . I heard that sheesh! All I wanted to point out was the gorgeous fall colors that this Obi throws off against the sage table linen. Yes, yes .   .   . see less than two seconds. Now I’m ready to move on in the next paragraph.

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” .   .   . sung by many notables over the last seven decades, and as early as two weeks ago. Google lists many notables, such as Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Johnny Mathis, Nat King Cole, and most recent Michael Bublé.

Oh please .   .   .  I have looked, and looked, and looked some more .   .   . mm mm mmmm. Wait, I’ll be right back. Phew .   .   . I am telling you that it’s not happening. Nope. Pleeeease .   .   . do you all think I have nothing better to do then run back and forth to look out of the window? And the last time I looked, which was 3 minutes ago, the sun was shinning, 82 degrees, and the birds were singing. Now, I can get in the holiday spirit with the rest of you but .   .   . I just put the Thanksgiving dishes away!!!
