OMG someone just shrieked .   .   . already!

Wait .   .   . let me finish giggling, and then I can introduce you to Matilda, one of my sweet in-house witches except when Halloween rolls around. Now I can’t vouch for her or any of her sisters- in -witchery, sooo my guests will feast at their own peril. Yes, yes, calm your fears Halloween is not next week! Geez people it’s still September. Give me a few minutes of your time and let me list some of the upcoming celebrations/holidays that are coming your way. It’s all good .   .   . honest! September 22nd (today) is the beginning of fall and world rhinoceros day. Now aren’t you all feeling a lot better?  Shhh .   .   . please read on. Between here and Halloween sits a myriad of special days. Try international coffee and vegetarian day October 1st, and after that comes Columbus Day, then world mental day, national nut day. Oh please do you really think I could make something like that up! I know crazy right? Let’s not minimize chocolate and cat days, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Phew! Now that you all are caught up to speed and in the know .   .   . let’s move on.

Photo above is a preview of one of my grown-up Halloween pit stops that I scatter  around the house, on the way to the buffet table. Nooooo it’s not ready yet. Beeeecause .   .   . we still have over 6 weeks to go, and I still have sooo many events scheduled before that chocked full of goodies and goblins buffet makes its appearance. Each pit stop armed with my collection of kitchen witches, who are just chomping at the bit to get out there and mingle with my guests, will be stocked with champagne on ice, and tid-bits to nibble on while every one makes their way to the groaning buffet table.  *** Next week *** my ode to fall tablescapes begin…
