Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table ®
Contemporary designers live by a rule of thumb, that the simpler the better. I too am a big proponent of the simpler the better, aka less is more, and/or less is better. I have gathered a couple of examples of less is better from my photo archives. One of my favorite, but simple quick-fix bling-blings is featured below, emphasizing the visual power of what one teeny-weeny vintage tin, filled with a couple of simple tea lights playfully dancing off of the gold-like colored lining.

Below is yet another photo of a tablescape that I created for a summer setting. One large glass ridged patterned bowl, filled with enough water to allow flowers and candles to float. The important trick here is not to bring the decoration to high in the bowl as you will lose the drama of the flickering lights playing off of the glass. Staying with the premise of simplicity, I mixed fresh flowers plucked from my garden just moments before my guests arrived . . .
Come on people . . . look . . . actually look around you. Nah, nah , nah . . . do you actually think that I’m buying that quick flick of your eyes to mean you actually looked??? Geez . . . I’ll bet that everyone of you out there has at least one yummy untouched treasure within a few feet from where you are sitting!!! Sooo . . . go ahead, take one more itsy-bitsy peruse around. I’m fine, I can wait. Wow!!!
