Dishing it up / with Sharon Insul

Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table ®

Dining al fresco for many of us, conjures up breathtaking ocean views with the sun slipping lazily over the horizon, or perhaps seeing skyscrapers majestically lit against a star filled night sky, while perched atop a roof garden. Now I say .   .   .  that’s all fine, fine, fine  .   .   . butttt don’t sell your very own slice of paradise short. The photo below is the perfect place for the two or more to dine al fresco.

I started with a sage colored quilt for background, and then added my next layer of a bold colored throw for impact. Next I chose a misshaped jug as my accent piece. I came across this wonderful find at a potters barn on a rarely traveled country road in Portugal. What? Are you asking about the imperfect shape, the very same one that the potter deemed a cast off ? Hm hmm (just clearing my throat, so I don’t sound sarcastic) .   .   . that’s what makes it special .   .   . the not so perfect/pristine design, and definitely not ho hum!!! Of course I hand carried that puppy all the way back home, because I do get very protective of my unique, and special finds. Have you ever seen what comes off the airport conveyor belt?  Sheesh! Next I added floral patterned dishes, (as seen in photo below) just screaming to get out into the garden, and topping it all off with bamboo-like handled utensils, while adding a bold dash of extra super duper orange side dishes, for that  .   .   . hello do you see me now!!!  Don’t stop yet .   .   . there’s one more photo below!

Of course .   .   . I insist .   .   . take your time.  .   .  have a look around. Points of interest in the photo below that are not to be missed are .   .   . a mix of led lights in the trees, tapers, votives, and a wonderful antiqued mirror planter holding tons of eucalyptus. Bon appétit !
