Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table ®
The long awaited Memorial Day Weekend has finally arrived, along with a warm-sun-filled weather forecast for most of the U S. . . Lucky, lucky us! Yes many of us are extremely lucky, but not just with the weather. We collectively, as a nation, have many people to thank for our steadfast luck. To all the men and women, past and present, who have voluntarily put themselves in harms way, so that we may continue to bask under the flag of freedom and democracy.

Some of you have put away the snow shovels, and winter gear, with the same giddy excitement as a kid on Christmas morning! The anticipation of hosing down the deck, patio, veranda, porch, or balcony along with the outdoor furniture can barely be contained! This is the time when you unpack those brand new pillows that you bought in anticipation of summer. Those pillows that just wouldn’t let you out of the store because of their great pops of color that sccrreeeeaammmed summer, and don’t leave us here!!!
Bringing old and new friends together. . . catching up on day to day happenings, future plans, and recounting past pleasures. These wonderful, and memorable gatherings can be made to pop-up on your front porch, backyard, kitchen, park, lakeside, at the beach, or just maybe you’re ready to step out of the box, and add a new place to the list! Please let me know. Where you create this fun happening is only a piece of the American pie, so to speak. How, to me, is as important as where this get together takes place.

As part of my Memorial Day gathering theme, shown in the photo above, I have commandeered my U S flag for a table cover, holding silverware, napkins, plates, etc.. I then added one of a stack of pillows with hand stitched miniature flags, found at a church bazaar several years ago, for table accent. All food stacked on a vintage red, white, and blue striped tablecloth, which keeps my flag away from the food traffic. My patriotic pillows will be stacked in extra, extra large wicker baskets, and available to anyone who wants extra comfy seating.
Have a great & safe weekend
