Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table ®
There is something about the color yellow that just nails that feeling of new, and undiscovered possibilities!

It’s the extra dollop of whip cream on your sundae, that burst of sunshine when the clouds have finally drifted by, uncovering the exquisite warmth, and vibrancy that only the sun can deliver! That being said . . . it’s a no ‘brainer’, why I chose to use as much yellow as possible, and then added a generous splash of something green, and a smidgen of soft blushing pink, to get this tablescape to sing . . . Oh yes it’s . . . SPRING!
Now that the sun has begun to set, it’s time for the brilliance of dancing flames to carry the torch of light, and laughter. The table below is a very simple table setting, that in fact carries a dramatic message of the awakening of Mother Nature. A table cloth of what looks like just picked flowers plucked from the garden, and place settings nestled within the foliage. Yellow, green, and rose pink multi-height glasses further gives this table the feeling of being wrapped within the arms of Mother Nature. Sprinkle some crystal, and glass candle holders, roll up your napkin to look like a rose neatly tucked into a small bowl,to be used for ice cold watermelon, cucumber, or perhaps whipped red beet soup, with a smidgen of sour cream and a sprinkle of chives.
Don’t have colored plates, or tablecloth? Start with white . . . the most neutral of neutrals and sooo easy to pair with whatever is in your closet. No tablecloth? No worries! If looking for the casual approach, a softly wrinkled bed sheet will do the trick! But if you’re going for a smooth formal look, grab an iron and get to it! Either way you can’t go wrong, as long as you bear in mind that there are NO rules when it comes to creating!!!
