Dishing It UP / with Sharon Insul

Come sit with me for awhile…
and see what I’m bringing to the table®

In answer to the many emails I’ve received  this week about my scintillating summer tablescape, requesting more photos .   .   .

Start with heaping scoops of sand ( I prefer good old sparkling white rice), enough handfuls of sea shells to tickle your fancy, and an abundance of assorted glass containers*, gently blend together, and watch the magic happen. The quantity of glass containers will depend on two things .   .   . your table size, and .   .   . just how much tablescaping juices you’ve got in your tank! I heard some of you tsk-tsking, and even a few of you yucking it up!!! I think that it is safe to say that the juices in my tank were overflowing .   .   .  as evidenced by the photo above, and below. When using this setting in the evening, as I have, don’t forget that last magical ingredient .   .   . candles .   .   . of course!!! If opting for a daytime setting, no worries .   .   . really! Daylight magic is easier than you think. It’s just a matter of letting the sun kiss the sparkle of the glass.  If you look closely, you may very well see glimpses of a very hot salsa dance taking place!!!  What?  .   .   . No sunshine? .   .   . Don’t panic .   .   . it’s called electricity!!!   Whether inside or out, sunlight, candlelight, electricity, or a combination .   .   . the bottom line is that this table is a win, win, win tablescape of pure summer magic!!!

When filling the various glass containers .   .   . please .  .   . keep in mind the art of NOT being matchy-matchy. This is not rocket science, no rulers, or other leveling devices allowed!  You can do this .   .   . For those of you that are rigid challenged, just take a deep breath, and imagine a sense of floating freedom as you fill the rice/or sand, and sea shells.  Oh please .   .   . stop!!!  I’m not asking to much of you .   .   . except to have fun. The key to the table above is .   .   . tons of t-lites, votives .   .   .  and a few tapers thrown in to vary the height of the flicker of light that’s playing off of this table setting!

* as a side bar tip .   .   . the best sparkle comes from very hot soapy water, and rinse with extremely hot water. Air dry, not towel dry your containers, and they will dry sparkling clean.

It’s out and… has 5 (count them people) 5 STAR REVIEWS  for I AM SOOO LUCKY!!! http://goo.gl/4kBSxv      What’s your review going to say?
