Dishing it up / with Sharon Insul

Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table ®

How does 14 go into 10? I’m sure a bit better than a size 14 foot fits into a size 10 shoe!!!

People .  .   . believe me when I say that this is no simple task, and requires a logistical plan of epic proportions and finesse. Yes I know .   .   . you’re wanting to know what the hell I’m talking about .   .   . right? Why a dining table gathering of 14 .   .   . of course! Now the problem begins with my very hefty five foot by seven foot glass table, which truth be known should seat 10 people not 14 people!  Yadda yadda yadda, I just heard a grumble from the gallery. Click on the photo above and freely move through my spacious table setting.  Shhh .   .   . relax everyone .   .   . this will all come together .   .   . read on. Yes, yes .   .   . again with the interruptions .   .   . what? .   .   . your approach is to just cram everyone together and let them fight it out as to who’s turn it is to lift their fork etc. .   .   . right? .   .   . OMG wrong!  .   .   . now click on photo below and then .   .   . you must keep reading!!!

An invitation is not just a .   .   . come on over and be miserable .   .   . no no no!  .   .   . it’s saying that you want that person to come, partake, and enjoy. So what’s a person to do with a fixed table size? Uh .   .   .  how does one sssstretch glass? Eureka .    .    . praise be .   .   . a solution sitting in my garage .   .   . a folding table 2 1/2 feet by 5 feet .   .   . quietly waiting to be pressed into service. So I opened that puppy up and added it to one end of my table creating close to a 10 feet long tabletop! Oooweee! .   .   . Hallelujah!!!!   And who out there said 14 doesn’t go into 10 hmmm?  I  assume that you have worked your way through both of the above photos .   .   . not yet? Ummm .   .   . now would be a very good time to look. Thanks .   .   . mm hmm .   .   . I’ll wait .   .   . no really .   .   . no bother.

What better theme to fill a long banquet table with than a festive Moroccan feast. Textiles of silk, linen, and brilliantly spun threads of vibrant gold. Breath taking colors of a hot orange setting sun, the good morning yellow of a new day sun, mixed with passionate purples, reds, and a soul squeezing cobalt blue dancing off an old sage colored quilt. The backs of the chairs are covered with colored silk voile fabric tied with silk cords.

I AM SOOO LUCKY !!!  is just days away…  a gentle child’s story of  LOVE
