Life is not always about the whole picture .   .   . or is it? What’s that? Are you asking me what I think? .   .   . Oh goodie!!! .   .   . I do loooove giving my opinion .   .   . even when not asked! .   .   . Oh pleeeease .   .   . I distinctly heard a few of you ask for my opinion .   .   . in unison no less .   .   . I just happen to have my very own pearls of wisdom when it comes to the whole picture. No surprise here !!! .   .   . Life, like a tablescape is made up of a collection of bits and pieces, fragments of other people’s lives, a touch of this and a little of that .   .   . and yes even memories. Go ahead, click on the photo above, so that you can move amongst my bits and pieces that becomes a part of the whole tablescape seen below. The place setting above is a mix of a vintage green etched plate, layered over a slightly larger pink salad plate. A vintage hand painted Chinese tea cup coupled with a hand carved bone knife sits on top. The stacked salad plates will be used as a bread and butter plate, with the tea cup being filled with flavored butter or .   .   . maybe I’ll walk on the wild side and fill each of those puppies with pâté .   .   . mmm yummmmy!!! O k .   .   . yes, yes, I do get excited over my creations .   .   . it’s the pâté in a gorgeous hand painted fine china tea cup that just revs my engine!!!

Take a good look at the pink napkin that’s tucked gracefully into a handmade glass beaded holder. Nestled inside of the pink napkin is yet another hidden treasure of an ecru hand crocheted edged napkin. (You can also see it in the first photo). Why you wonder would I do that! A fair question that deserves an answer. I have been ‘double napkin setting’ for years. Why ? .   .   . for two distinct reasons. One reason is the visual enhancement .   .   . aka the pop! The second being, the girl/boy scout theory .   .   . always be prepared. In this case, the preparedness is all in a fresh napkin set aside for .    .    . desert. People .   .   . no groans .   .   . this is not crazy .   .   . I have done it time and time again with appreciative sounds of ooooohs and ahhhhhs. Mmm hmmm .   .   . I tell it like it is!!!

Don’t forget clusters of votives in cups, to be used as up lights that are always flattering, but not intrusive. (trim wick to 1/4”- 3/8” before burning) Please burn candles responsibly.

Oh yes .   .   . about my upcoming Children’s Book .   .   . thanks to those of you who have asked.  Patience .   .   .  it’s almost ready!
