Come sit with me for awhile . . .
and see what I’m bringing to the table ®
I liken the Winter Holidays to the closing celebration on the 4th of July . . . you know, that moment when The Star- Spangled Banner is played . . . and fireworks seem to blanket the sky clear around the world. Just as the fourth of July carries a heightened sense of excitement, so does New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. Regardless of your holiday preference . . . the air is so palpable, that all any of us need to do, is reach out, and touch someone . . . for a quick head to toe jolt of ‘end of the year holiday fever’.
Having passed over to the other side . . . of Christmas, Chanukah, or whatever your persuasion it’s time to move on. I have taken it upon myself as a commitee of one . . . sure . . . you can go back, and reread the first half of this sentence . . . yes, yes . . . you read it correctly . . . a commitee of one. What? . . . People, it doesn’t take a village to create a New Year’s Eve celebration. Oh please . . . I’m a busy lady, who doesn’t have time to shilly-shally around over how, when, where, who does what, or if, and then take a vote . . . lol, not happening!!! But what I am doing, is inviting all of you to weigh in on what I’m dishing up for my New Year’s Eve. So, as always please click on the above photo and . . . come sit with me for awhile, and see what I’m bringing to the table.
I certainly hope you took a second to check out my hanging silver lamp shade. I popped that puppy right over a pewter hanging chandelier, for a more au courant look, while doing a balancing act on tip toes, desperately trying not to look down through my floating glass table top!!! To create this Winter Wonderland, I added frosted silver branches, hung crystal drops that will shimmer, and sway a slow, intricately entwined magical dance, all the while never touching its partner of dancing flames*, far below on the dining table. To give additional twinkle, and sparkle I added just enough silver ball ornaments, and silver tassels . . . yes . . . tassels . . . because they are definitely “worth the hassle”! To finish off my clean classic table, but still with a touch of bling, my Jaguar that normally guards my front door, has been transformed into the center of attraction for the evening. A string of mini lites (battery operated) have been wrapped around his neck for that extra dash of added glitz! As for the napkins . . . Each place setting has two napkins, one for wiping, and one for the fancy schmancy . . . hello . . . this is not the run of the mill eat, and leave . . . wham bam…, well you all know the rest!!! The outside napkin is sparkly silver, and the inside napkin, aka ‘please use me’ have been gathered together, and presented in a silver mint julep cup, to be used for a beverage. Click on photo to snoop around, I insist!
A napkin is a napkin . . . end of story . . . so you say !!! Not so fast . . . there is a bit more to wiping your face and hands than meets the eye. Such as size, color, absorption, and last but not least, texture**. If it doesn’t feel good to your finger tips, how’s it going to feel on your mouth . . . mmm hmm . . . See that’s why you take a few seconds to read my bits, and pieces of wisdom . . . right??? . . . While one or two of you out in reader land said . . . ‘I’m in it for the pictures’ . . . Ahhhh . . . phewww . . . thank you! . . . have I got a news flash coming your way picture people, and for those of you who like the written word . . . yup . . . my very own Tableofferings® table top book!!! I will keep you posted as to my launch . . .
