SOFT LANDINGS…
The planning, screaming, laughing, crying, looking, finding, last minute rushing, AND the final ultimate celebration, as well as the honeymoon is now behind them.
The plane has just landed on home turf, with souvenirs safely tucked into their luggage.
Yes . . . reality slowly set in . . . the hustle, bustle of day to day living begins to infringe on that invisible bubble, known as paradise.
BUT WAIT . . . HOLD ON . . .
It was not as harsh a reality as you imagine ! ! !
With the ‘been there, done that’ savvy attitude of both their best man, and matron of honor, their re-entry to day to day life, was indeed a ‘soft landing.’*
This is something that I have created, and done with the help of many newlyweds’ friends. For this particular soft landing, I suggested re-creating one of their happy moments, on the way to the altar.
Soooooooo . . . it was back to a moment in time . . . given, and shared by best man and matron of honor only. An evening filled with a special dinner, served on a carefully selected table setting, and enjoyed by four people who have so many old and new memories to share.
A special soft landing gift, shared and most definitely treasured, for when some days may not be ‘soft landings.’
Till next week…
