It has been our custom to leave a light on as a beacon . . . enticing ‘ little’ trick or treaters down the path, to the goodie filled bowl, brimming with what little tricksters deem exquisite pleasures . . . milky ways, snickers, gummy bears, and the occasional bag of freshly made popcorn. A bowl full of sugar, and a light ! Simple !
Now let’s get to the BIG trick or treaters, you know . . . the ones that have either done the ‘trick or treat walk’ with the little ones, earlier in the day OR . . . have long since packed/given away costumes of ‘trick or treat walks’ past. . .
Grab a mask, costume . . . or not . . . and head toward the light! The light that graces the dinner table, celebrating being an adult trickster, ready for a treat. Start with one wide mouth glass vase filled with a strand of mini holiday lights, a smattering of mini sized traditional wrapped candy bars. . . invert, and top it off with a glittery pumpkin, (store bought or glitter it yourself).
Don’t forget. . . the go-to home goodie bags . . . Tune in next week for a lesson in SIMPLE go-to goodie bags . . .
